To provide fellowship, support, and counsel for interim ministers
To promote and strengthen interim ministry in churches without a minister
In 2012 a number of Interim Ministers in the state of Virginia recognized the need for a support group and began to discuss the possibility of banding together to encourage, strengthen, and learn from one another as each shared a common ministry of serving churches that were facing transition and the unique challenges that interim ministries present.
Before long, more ministers were surveyed, and the groundwork was laid to create an official body that would meet the needs of the pastors as well as promote and strengthen interim ministry in the many churches throughout Virginia who found themselves without a minister. The Virginia Network of Interim Ministers, VNIM, was born.
Several times during the year VNIM will plan and promote training and fellowship opportunities in which our members and guests may share.
